yep, i never heard him use profanity------ever.. a couple of us were invited to lunch, which in my case never happened before covid because i never got baptized.. but now i’m being invited by most of my jw family to family cookouts.

I quit Field Service before I knew I was lying to people. I was selling the Live Forever book d2d when one lady told me that most Christians already believed in a paradise earth, they just don't call it that. She said they call it the Millennium Reign.

It suddenly dawned on me that something was seriously wrong with my understanding. I realized that I was trying to sell a concept that "Christendom" already had. A little research quickly revealed the problem.

Christian literalists already believe the survivors of the GT will inherit the earth. Church age Christians will have been removed in the "Catching away".

Once I understood this, I could no longer go d2d. True, the sequence was different, but the concept was essentially the same. I realized that Christendom didn't have the phony 1914 return doctrine, like we did. And, without that, not much difference.

it's an interesting "apostate" perspective written prior to the wts 1975 debacle.. anyway, at a certain point, there's a quote from a book called "the four cults", by professor anthony a. hoekema (1963, william b. eerdmans publishing company), a calvinist, which makes some sharp remarks about the way jehovah's witnesses teach the dead coming back to life:.

1) in the case of those "resurrecting" for everlasting life on earth, one asks: if the soul is extinct at death, and the body disintegrates and its components are integrated into other forms of life, what is there to "resurrect"?

This is where the problem lies in most of your posts I believe.

“Thus the Bible is an organizational book and belongs to the Christian congregation as an organization, not to individuals, regardless of how sincerely they may believe that they can interpret the Bible,” (Watchtower, Oct. 1, 1967, p. 587).

Additionally, the Watchtower says only its organization understands the Bible:

“Only this organization functions for Jehovah’s purpose and to his praise. To it alone God’s Sacred Word, the Bible, is not a sealed book,” (Watchtower, July 1, 1973, p. 402).

“All who want to understand the Bible should appreciate that the “greatly diversified wisdom of God” can become known only through Jehovah’s channel of communication, the faithful and discreet slave,” (Watchtower, Oct. 1, 1994, p. 8).

Many of the arguments you make, is not from your understanding of the Bible but from the Watchtower’s interpretation of it. This is understandable to a point, given the indoctrination we all went through.

Christians associate with one another in many cell groups, which is a protection. If one group goes rogue, it has a limited, regional effect. They are united in essentials and have freedom of expression in the non essentials.

The WT is not just another Christian group. It is a global cabal.

Galatians 1: 6-7

"I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: 7which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. 8But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 9As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

In utter (what can only be understood as Satanic) disregard for the warning of Scripture, the WT proudly teaches its doctrine of "New Light" to the world, and it members eat it up.

They teach another gospel of salvation, one where ritual rejection the new covenant "for the forgiveness of sins" (Mt. 26: 27-28) occurs every "memorial". What a mockery.

Additionally, the WT has printed that they believe that the dead spirits of JW's may be directing the organization today. They quote bible translations that THEY KNOW were done in conjunction with communication with spirits.

They changed the scripture that plainly states that the name of Jesus is the highest name in the universe, "a name which is above every name"; and that he is really Michael the Arc Angel incognito....making them anti-christ.

The Watchtower is the most openly blasphemous organization to ever exist on the face of the earth.

Sea Breeze, I notice you wrote that the WT wants "... to make double sure no one gets saved from the KH." Those words you wrote are astonishing to me. Do you really believe that? I know the WT has numerous incorrect teachings, that is deceptive, and that it has told some intentional lies, but do you really believe it is trying to prevent people from obtaining salvation

Of course that is the objective. They readily agree that it is a "spirit-directed organization". Do you think the spirits directing the the WT want anyone to experience salvation? Misery loves company.

Romans 10: 9

if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

The Watchtower version of Christ rising, is NOT a resurrection. According to scripture his same body (although a glorified more powerful version) was restored to life.

Luke 24: 39 - Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself

JW's deny the bodily resurrection which is a foundational Christian doctrine. The first scripture above leaves some question whether or not a person who denies the bodily resurrection can be saved. That is why the WT twists this belief.... just to make double sure no one gets saved from the KH.

In 1909, while Israel was just a wasteland, before any Balfour Declaration could give any indication of the restoration of Israel, before WWI, Here is what the Scofield Reference Bible said about the restoration of Israel.

Jeremiah 23:3

And I will gather the remnant of my flock out of all countries whither I have driven them, and will bring them again to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and increase.

Scofield Reference Notes of 1909.: This final restoration is shown to be accomplished after a period of unexampled tribulation (Jer 30:3-10) and in connection with the manifestation of David's righteous Branch (Jer 23:5) who is also Jehovah-tsidkenu (Jer 23:6).

The restoration here foretold is not to be confounded with the return of a feeble remnant of Judah under Ezra, Nehemiah, and Zerubbabel at the end of the 70 years (Jer 29:10). At His first advent Christ, David's righteous Branch (Lk 1:31-33) did not "execute justice and judgment in the earth," but was crowned with thorns and crucified. Like the Roman Catholic Church, the WT believes THEY are the REPLACEMENT of Israel and it will be they who administer the rulership over the earth during the Millennium.... with the help of Jesus Christ of course.

From a theological perspective, that is why Rutherford made that statement. He really believed that he would end up King of the World...….. under Jesus of course.

To this very day, the Watchtower and the RCC give no prophetic significance whatsoever to the establishment of the nation of Israel after nearly 2000 years of exile. Their Replacement Theology prevents them from doing so.

Many scriptures talk about various features of Israel's final return. The entire book of Revelation pre-supposes the existence of a literal nation of Israel as does Daniel and Ezekiel - before the return of Jesus.

The Evidence of Human Evolution keeps getting stronger and stronger

despite the wt's and young earth creationists' teachings against human evolution (namely macroevolution from non-humans) being a reality, the evidence of human evolution keeps getting stronger and stronger.. consider for example two science news articles and one other science article, each pertaining to the fossil that is nicknamed "little foot".

In the video I posted above, Dr. Sanford stated in his lecture at the prestigious Natl. Institutes of Health conference that a short 8 letter genetic word would take 18 billion years for it to become homogeneous to a genetic population of only 10,000. (around 21:15).... Far longer than the universe has supposedly existed.

He stated that his research has been reviewed by thousands of colleagues, and that his science is rock solid and unrefuted.
